planets and plays
When I’m older and there are small children around me whom I may need to inject some form of education into, I often have the strangest sense that I will teach them that there are nine planets in our solar system. I don’t know why. This would very unfair and confusing for said child. The educational system itself teaches eight and really, at the end of the day, it doesn’t...

willwivell: Imagine a random lump of matter popped up somewhere, and life started to evolve on it, and for billions of years all these lifeforms ever saw or knew was that random lump of matter, their world. Their thought processes would be directly influenced by it, and the stumuli it provided would limit the lifeforms’ perception of beauty and perfection. If intelligent life grew on a dog turd,...

inspirations cont.
A small addition to my previous post, because I think I forgot to mention my large variety of school teachers {and by new extension, the lecturers I am coming across at university}. The smell of the world is curling around your fingers. Walking through a market on a bright summers day; it isn’t the light that burns your eye, it is the smell of the spice and the fire that curls within spectral tendrils of sense. Feel it colour your mouth, taste the smell dance across your tounge leaving a wake of such golden fury that tears saltier than the oceans deep drip sweetly down...

She trotted down the stairs, thoughts on the day ahead, the late hour and the lectures just past. But something about looking down to save her footing makes her stop and think. She stares down at the clothes on her body and can’t help but wander, ‘Are these the clothes I put on this morning?’ And that frightens her a little. The notion that things have become so monotonous...

inspirations
I have a lot of these. They’ve shifted over the years in many areas but some have remained constant throughout the entirity of my life without my realising until recently. These main areas of inspirations are my parents and friends. It does sound cliché but it’s true, regardless of that fact. I mean, let’s face it, where it not for my father I would not be a computing...
